OK, this is SO irrelevant to the topic, but Tim DeC is pretty dreamy. He can get it.
ReplyDeleteCP has picked this up.
ReplyDeleteAt first I didn't want to comment so as not to get on the NSA's watch list.

yeah, it's waaaayy too late to think about being on the NSA watchlist, and has been for several years. That's why I don't worry about it. Great link, thanks Catman!
ReplyDeletePinkpearl, I didn't call him a hero for nothing! There are precious few and he's one of them.
All that integrity, courage and intelligence, rolled up into an adorable package! Sigh.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I dig that Letterman had him on the show. It helps Tim reach a huge audience, some of whom might really be unaware of the issues.
Yeah, much as I think that we're past the point of no return, I really admire people I (the VERY few) who risk everything to make a moral stand whether or not it is likely change anything.
ReplyDeleteTim is one of those very few, and its worth noting that NONE of the big green orgs was on hiw side, until it was obvious that he had garnerered grassroots support. That friction continues. The big green groups are playing footsies with fracking, for instance.
My remark about the NSA watch list was pure sarcasm. Their computers have been reading every piece of internet traffic since long before the www (mid-eighties). And now cell phones and what have you (like vehicle GPS). If it's out there, their computers read it and flag interesting pieces and their originating IP addresses.

ReplyDeleteI don't care, really. Internet delenda est. I am sooo sick of all those computers, iphones and the likes. Let the whole www thing go to hell where it was born and belongs (bringing me down with it). Soon.
And let whoever "them" is read and listen to the zillion (and I mean zillion) vacuous and stupid messages that have been sent between humans. Like in the bus: "hi", "I'm in the bus", "I will be there in 5 minutes", sent by someone who DOES NOT EVEN KNOW that coal was burned to support this insufferably useless phone call. Part of my changing religion is: Let them spy, why not?
hugs Gail, I am still alive even if not to much kicking!
Yes if you don't want something public don't put it on the internet! Hang in there everyone the meltdown has been triggered and is speeding up before our eyes.
ReplyDeleteYou're so right michele. There are so few people even conscious enough to possibly consider maybe resisting somehow, there's virtually no point to their listening in.
