I tend to think politics is nothing but a circus to distract the electorate from the true environmental collapse that underlies all the other woes of industrial society...but this act is too good to pass up!
and this one is amazing too!

Scientists Tweak Photosynthesis in Pursuit of a Better Biofuel
By altering how plants turn sunlight into chemical energy, scientists hope to produce biofuels that make economic sense
By David Biello | January 13, 2012 |

For years researchers have been trying to figure out the best ways of making plants produce biofuels. But there is a fundamental problem: photosynthesis, the process by which plants convert sunlight into stored chemical energy, is highly inefficient. Plants turn only 1 to 3 percent of sunlight into carbohydrates. That is one reason why so much land has to be devoted to growing corn for ethanol, among other bad biofuel ideas. And yet plants also have many advantages: they absorb carbon dioxide at low concentrations directly from the atmosphere, and each plant cell can repair itself when damaged.

Well, it would be nice if they would simultaneously figure out what the emissions of burning that will do, but that's always an afterthought.
hi Gail
here is what I just read: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203721704577159280717551476.html?mod=googlenews_wsj
we will not know the truth, it seems.
Michele, now Gingrich is saying this movie should be amended or withdrawn.
There could be distortions, and details that are exaggerated or inaccurate.
But the essence of truth remains.
Mitt is a trust fund baby who learned how to screw the 99%. No mystery there!
Romney can't beat Obama without Ron Paul.
OTOH Paul can beat Obama without Romney.
Plovering, my friend...
Paul does not believe in the "theory" of evolution. He does not believe in the "theory" of climate change.
I suppose, he doesn't believe in the "theory" of gravity, or of plate tectonics.

Sadly, the Dems are just gloating about how they plan to destroy Romney with this issue this fall, despite the fact that Obama's ramming through the most recent "free" trade agreements, which plenty of Dems in CONgress also voter for, will in the long run destroy far more jobs than Romney ever has.
