
A fellow commenter at ClimateProgress.org from the Pacific Northwest, Leif, has kindly allowed me to post his photographs of a stupendous cedar from the Olympic Peninsula.

Here Leif is standing about eight feet above the ground.

I am so envious! I would love to climb those gnarled roots and gaze up hundreds of feet to the crown of this marvelous tree.
