Temperature Anomalies

I saw this graph (from the EPA Climate Change Indicators page) at DesdemonaDespair and as I looked at it I felt with renewed horror that there is nothing to stop this trend, which isn't merely an even warming, it's a rapidly accelerating warming! It's going to go up, and up, and up, until the Earth is uninhabitable simply because it is too hot. There is nothing on the horizon to cause average temperatures to decrease, and much to cause it to increase - all those amplifying feedbacks like the albedo effect, extra water vapor in the atmosphere, and of course forest die-back.
