The Book of Eli

I saw this movie last weekend and I have to say, it was sort of ridiculous. I mean, there was supposedly this dire shortage of water even for drinking never mind washing, but in typical Hollywood fantasy marketing, the female lead had a perfect complexion, without the slightest blemish. Riiiigghhht!

Nevertheless, it is worth seeing for the vision of the coming collapse of ecosystems, and human civilization. A Mad Max scenario, like this one, will most likely prevail (although of course, I hope it won't). Among the outcomes depicted are lawlessness, cannibalism, and rampant sexual attacks. Buckle your seatbelts, etc.

The best summation of the purpose of this blog is on the page linked to at the top, "Basic Premise" Beyond that, I post random thoughts and musings from Wit's End, a little farm I share with a dog, 2 indoor cats and 2 barn cats, a flying squirrel (Whippersnapper), Sun Conure (Bird), African Grey (Simon), a dozen chickens, a pair of peafowl, sundry koi in the pond, and various wildlife visitors, most notoriously among them, a voracious fox.
