Connecting the Dots

This NASA satellite photo accompanied a first-person account of an American witness to the Russian fires, which is well worth reading.

Here is an AP report that actually does a creditable job of explaining how current events around the globe are a result of global warming, which describes climate scientists as too "shy" to connect the dots between climate change and extreme, record-smashing weather events - Bravo! Now if only somebody would start explaining that ozone is toxic to vegetation, we might start making some progress towards doing something constructive about it! And don't let's forget that the US Midwest is flooding as well...

I can't help but wonder when this sobbing woman with her pleasure motor boat and her son in his Harley-Davidson t-shirt will connect their profligate fossil-fuel burning recreational activities with disasters like floods, intense heat-waves, heavy precipitation, wildfires, and food shortages...

Now that I think of it, there was a comment on CP that said something like, time to think outside the box. There are no shortages...of food, water, fuel, or minerals...there is a SURPLUS of people...
