Strutt did an engraving which was published 1st June 1821 (A copy exists in the Bury St Edmunds Record Office). The tree fell in 1896.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5549306427964459740.post-54303710253174383132011-12-01T01:02:29.703-05:002011-12-01T01:02:29.703-05:00Well the radiation certainly doesn't help. It is interesting to read how often it is that folks doing research on a problem find their ideas rejected, even though the ideas later prove to be true.<br />There are many examples, with the latest one I read about being the key cause of cholera--long (and wrongly) thought to be foul odors.Rogerhttp://www.gwenet.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5549306427964459740.post-14131776858611882002011-11-26T20:03:50.912-05:002011-11-26T20:03:50.912-05:00I'll repeat a comment I made earlier today for...I'll repeat a comment I made earlier today for another post. It's truly scary.Mister Robotohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08724938709642010624noreply@blogger.com
