hint: it wasn't global warming

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/09/090910-sea-levels-rise.html

this summer, for reasons unknown, "the Gulf Stream slowed down," Edwing said, sending water toward the coasts—and sea levels shooting upward.

Oh well, it's certainly heartening to know they are so sanguine about unexplained ocean current slowdown and sea level rise decades before predicted! I can relax now, cause for sure, it follows if there IS anything wrong with the trees, it isn't toxic greenhouse gasses!

  1. I always like it when they say "for reasons unkown" since all of us know that it's that cosmic prankster, Loki, playing tricks with the universe again. This time he turned off the Gulf Stream. Next time he may reverse the polarity of the earth. He's such a funny guy!
