Also, it's a way of saying that CO2 is the only thing that matters because we have modeled it. Very circular, if you think about it, but the message is clear, especially when it comes to matters of the Environment. Much money, time and effort has gone into developing a consensus around CO2 and Climate, and therefore, any discussion of the Environment will proceed along those lines. The Models preclude all else. So, the thinking goes, "don't waste our time. If it's not about CO2 and the Climate, keep your yap shut. Thank you for your interest, though."<br /><br />What ever happened to good ol Observation? IMO, it's a key component in Scientific Inquiry and the Scientific Method, and yet it increasingly appears to be discarded in favor of virtual modeling.Morocco Bamanoreply@blogger.com
